LAHORE: The tentative dates of the matches between Pakistan and India in the Asia Cup 2023 have been revealed.
In their first encounter during the event, Pakistan will face India on September 2 in Kandy during the group stage.
If Pakistan and India qualify for the Super Four stage, they will play again on September 10 in Kandy.
If the arch rivals also advance to the final, they will lock horns in Colombo on September 17.
The tournament opener could be played in Multan with Pakistan facing Nepal.
Lahore could stage three matches and one Super Four game, according to the draft schedule.
All matches are scheduled to begin at 1pm Pakistan Standard Time.
A hybrid model will be used for the Asia Cup this year after India refused to tour Pakistan for the event due to security concerns.
The Asia Cup's first phase will be played in Pakistan. However, the event will then move to Sri Lanka for the remaining matches, including the knockout stage.
The cricket tournament is likely to be played from August 30 to September 17 in the 50-over format.
India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal will compete in a total of 13 ODI matches.
These teams are divided in two groups with Group A including Pakistan, India and Nepal. Meanwhile, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are in Group B.
